Mike and I managed to steal away Sunday to Pinnacles to use our new wedding presents -- a trad rack! We headed to Discovery Wall to be first in line on Swallow Crack. Mike racked up for what we hoped would be the first of two laps, w/ me leading the second. But as anticipated, loads of parties filled in behind us. We'll head back next weekend for my turn. We also were fortunate enough to hop on a neighboring TR to run up Jorgie's Crack -- that route was fabulous. Now that our gear is less shiny and getting marked up, we're excited to continue to use it!

Congratulations Joy & Wes! This weekend we headed up to Lake Tahoe for Joy's and Wes' wedding. It was a nice event and it was fun to visit w/ pals, old and new. It was great to visit w/ Randy and Natalie again. :-)

| We did it! Its official! We took the plunge! The day was lovely. The few hiccups and mix ups we had turned out for the better. You can read all about it over on our wedding website. Pictures are slowly trickling in from friends and family. We'll post them on the wedding website as we receive them. Pictures from our official photographer (thanks Kate!) will take a little longer to process. |  |

Happy Autumn!! We're edging ever closer to the first rains of the season ... and GREEN! :-D
Several of my cycling friends threw me a little get-together. It wasn't a bachelorette party, per se, but a nice reason to get all of us together, the ladies at least. It was a great time to chat away the afternoon. And they gave me this beautiful bouquet of hand cut flowers!

Amid the wedding business I managed to steal away for a long weekend w/ Joy. We're both getting married in October so we made it our bachelorette party to climb Snake Dike, a rock climbing route up Yosemite's Half Dome! Pictures and a trip report are here.

I took the long weekend to do some climbing up at South Lake Tahoe. Given the holiday weekend, it was amazingly quiet at Lover's Leap. Joy and I did East Wall while Wes and Natalie did East Crack. After some free camping south of Meyers, we headed back to Lover's Leap and climbed Knapsack. Joy and I got in some good climbing in preparation for our trip up Half Dome in a few weeks!
